The Hold Tight Handrail - Jamb Mount is very well made and very rugged. Depending on how tight the tolerance is between the jamb and the door, you may need to file down the edge of the door so it will properly open and close. The jamb mount is not as easy to install compared to the flat mount, but it is more secure. Just be prepared to do some adjusting to the door if it’s too tight.

I purchased a pair of these handrails for my wife, who has la hard time going up and down stairs. They came packaged well, and on time. They are exactly as described by the seller and they are made here in the United States. Pricey? Not when it comes to my wife's safety! I would highly recommend these handrails.

I am very happy with these well built, solid, heavy duty stair rails. This product is made in the USA. It took a reasonable amount of time to install a left AND a right stair rail, and an extra pair of hands to hold the rail during installation; the rails are NOT flimsy aluminum. Instructions were clear and helpful. We used a couple of shims on one side to ease the slight tightness of the door. Again, very happy with stair rails that didn't require measuring to figure out the length, height and placement on a custom staircase. Five star all around!

These handrails (2) were purchased to provide added security on the garage steps for a family member who went through stability affecting surgery. They are much sturdier then the handrails they replaced which were screwed together versus the welded construction in the Hold Tight handrails. The wider base which attaches to the wall, also helps to ensure a more solid connection and increases confidence in the support when in use. Installation did require use of additional fasteners (not provided) to complete the installation in the specific location. Would strongly recommend to others.

We bought these handrails after I took a tumble on our garage stairs and also had a lot of trouble climbing them when I’m stiff. These handrails are excellent quality and give me a feeling of security. They are attractive too - much better than a 2 x 4 homemade rail. They are a little pricey, but I don’t regret the expense at all. How much is a hospital bill??
